On average, 2 out of 5 Aussies struggle with sleep on a regular basis and are not sleeping for the recommended 7 to 9 hours per night. More frightening still, close to 60% of Aussies show at least one sleep disorder symptom and few seek help. Losing sleep at night has its consequences, as 80% of sleep-deprived Aussies are less productive after sleeping poorly. Most people have grown up using the traditional pillow, unaware that it is having a detrimental effect on their quality of sleep.
Traditional pillows cause poor sleeping posture which leads to sleep loss and physical aches and pains, such as neck or back pain. Not to mention, sleeping in this manner results in less effective sleep as the body struggles to perform important functions such as muscle growth or tissue repair.
